Start Here

If you somehow ended up here, welcome.
This blog started as a place for me to write about motherhood, neurodivergence, survival, and the weird chaos that happens when your brain refuses to operate like the instruction manual says it should.

Over time it turned into a mix of things:
-Parenting
-Mental health
-Overstimulation
-Life lessons learned the hard way
-Writing and publishing books
-And occasionally yelling into the void about things that don't make sense.

So if you're new, this post will help you figure out where to start.

WHO I AM

My name is Samantha Oyler.
I'm a writer, a mom, and a professional overthinker with a nervous system that occasionally acts like a smoke detector with a dying battery.

My son Kaizer is two and a half, and parenting him has been the most chaotic, exhausting, hilarious, and meaningful thing I've ever done.

He's also autistic and currently in 30+ hours of therapy a week, which means our life runs on schedules, snack breaks, and figuring things out as we go.

This blog is where I write about what that actually looks like.
Not the polished version.
The real one.

WHAT YOU'LL FIND HERE

Most of the things I write about fall into a few main categories.
Neurodivergent Parenting
Parenting advice is usually written for people whose nervous systems are functioning normally.
This blog is not that.

Here we talk about parenting when you’re also overstimulated, exhausted, and trying to regulate your own brain while raising a tiny human.

Which is exactly why I started writing the Overstimulated series of books.
Because parenting while your brain is screaming is a very real experience.

LIFE LESSONS LEARNED THE HARD WAY

Some of the things I write about come from places that weren't exactly easy.
Addiction.
Loss.
Survival.
Figuring out how to rebuild after you've made some terrible decisions.

I don't write about these things for sympathy.
I write about them because sometimes the things we survived are the exact things someone else needs to hear about.

WRITING & SELF PUBLISHING

I also write about writing.
How books get made.
How to publish on Amazon KDP.
How normal people can actually get their ideas out into the world without needing a giant publishing company behind them.

This is also where my Publish Without Panic system comes in, which teaches people how to publish books without getting overwhelmed halfway through.

Because if my chaotic brain figured it out, yours can too.

MY BOOKS

If you're here because of one of my books, first of all thank you.

The main series I'm currently working on is called Overstimulated.

The second book in the series is:
How to Parent When You're Also Overstimulated
Which is basically about surviving the moments when you and your kid are both melting down at the same time.

Because that happens way more often than parenting books like to admit.

There are more books coming soon too, including one about the life lessons I learned the hard way and the things I want my son to understand when he grows up.

WHY THIS BLOG EXISTS

I didn’t start this blog to build a brand.
I started it because sometimes writing things down is the only way to make sense of them.

And somewhere along the way I realized something important.

A lot of people feel alone in the things they're dealing with.
Parenting struggles.
Mental health.
Past mistakes.
Trying to rebuild your life.

So if something I write makes you laugh, think, or feel a little less alone, then this blog is doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

WHERE TO START READING

If you’re new here, these posts are a good place to begin:
-The Overstimulated series posts
-Parenting while overstimulated
-Life lessons I learned the hard way
-Writing and publishing updates

Or honestly, just pick something that looks interesting and jump in.

There’s no correct order here.

ONE LAST THING

This blog isn’t perfect.
Some posts are messy.
Some are serious.
Some are sarcastic.
Some are written while my toddler is yelling about snacks.

But all of them are real.
And if you're here reading this, I'm glad you found your way here.

Welcome to the chaos.
