Life Update: Books, Chaos, and Building Things Anyway
New ideas.
New books.
New businesses.
A new website.
New social media accounts. (LinkedIn, TikTok. SubStack, NextDoor, Threads, Lemon8, Buy Me A Coffee…)
And in between all of that, Kaizer has ABA and other therapies 30+ hours a week, which means our schedule currently looks like someone spilled a calendar and then tried to tape it back together.
So if things have seemed a little chaotic around here… that’s because they are.
But it's the productive kind of chaos.
THE GREAT WEBSITE MIGRATION
I’ve been slowly moving things around online like digital furniture.
The blog is moving from Wix to Blogger, which means I'm transferring posts, updating things, and trying not to break the internet in the process.
At the same time, I’m rebuilding the rest of the site in Canva. It’s cleaner, easier to update, and honestly just works better for my brain.
My digital shop on Beacons also got an upgrade and will soon have its own site at:
maternalmenace.store
So if links look weird or things move around for a bit… I promise it’s intentional chaos.
A NEW PROJECT: PUBLISH WITHOUT PANIC
One of the biggest things I’ve been building is something called:
Publish Without Panic
It’s a system designed for my fellow neurospicy humans who want to publish books but feel overwhelmed by the process.
Because here's the truth:
Publishing on Amazon KDP is actually way easier than people think. The problem is that most tutorials make it sound like you need 14 expensive programs and a degree in graphic design.
You don’t.
All you really need is:
Microsoft Word
Canva
An Amazon KDP account
And all of those are free.
Publish Without Panic walks you through how to create and publish your book using Kindle Create or other simple tools without losing your mind halfway through.
You can sign up for updates on my site using the form. I'm hoping to launch it early April, if not sooner, and the course will most likely live on the maternalmenace.store site.
Because if my overstimulated brain figured this out, yours can too.
UPCOMING BOOKS
I also have several books about to come out.
The first one should be published within the next day or two:
How to Parent When You're Also Overstimulated
It’s the second book in the Overstimulated series and it’s basically about staying regulated when you and your kid are both melting down at the same time.
Which, if you’re a parent, you already know is a very real situation.
The next book is something completely different.
It’s a giant AI Prompt Playbook that teaches the basics of AI prompt engineering and includes 250+ prompts ranging from beginner to advanced.
They’re organized so you can quickly find what you need, whether that’s writing, business, productivity, content creation, or everyday tasks.
Basically it’s the guide I wish I had when I first started using AI.
The third book is the hardest one I’ve written so far.
It’s about the life lessons I learned the hard way. The ones I’m going to teach my son. The things addiction cost me. The people I lost. And why, honestly, the world could learn a thing or two from the prisoner’s code of ethics. It still has humor and sarcasm in it (because that’s how I cope with literally everything), but writing it has been… heavy.
It’s hard putting all of yourself out there. Especially the worst parts. The parts people judge the fastest.
But if even one person reads it and feels less alone, or feels understood, or laughs when they needed to laugh… Then it’s worth it.
ONE MORE COOL THING
A Denver magazine called Voyage Denver also reached out and asked to interview me, which was not something I expected when I started this blog.
I’ll share the interview here once it’s published.
So yeah.
A lot is happening right now.
But if my life has taught me anything, it’s that sometimes the best thing you can do is just keep building anyway.
Even when it’s messy.
Even when it’s overwhelming.
Even when your brain is yelling at you.
More updates soon!
